How much does a dental implant cost?

Among all the questions we get asked this is by far and away the most common.

Rightly so because it is a very important consideration in choosing the procedure that is right for you.

The average costs of dental implants can be influenced by many things some as simple as where the surgery is located and how much advertising that the surgeon does to promote his or her services.

At Southside Dental Implant Centre we believe that if you are unsure about the costs of dental implant with a particular dental surgeon you should seek opinions on dental implant costs from other surgeons.

This will allow you to make an informed decision on the average costs of dental implants.

Dental implants are a simple concept - replace the old worn-out and ineffective tooth with a new, artificial tooth that is anchored to the jaw by a “screw” which is, in effect the implant.  Over time the screw fuses with the bone in the jaw and provides a very solid foundation for a ‘new tooth.’

It is impossible to provide an accurate estimate of dental implant costs for any individual without an initial consultation and examination.  Any costings provided without an examination are, in effect, just estimates.

Without an examination it is impossible to determine what the individual’s actual needs are and what treatment is the best and most cost-effective for that patient.  It could be grafting, implants or all-on-4 and each has a different cost structure.

To put it simply – a dental surgeon is not going to know which is right until she or he has a look.

We have a guide to the approximate costs of basic treatments at Southside Implant Centre which you can review but we must stress it is a guide only and the actual cost may vary down or up depending on the results of your examination.
